I remember when I first saw Geometry Wars last year. I thought two things: 1) I need to play this, and 2) it’s mesmerizing to look at. Something about the way it looks just instantly appeals to me, like Ikaruga, or Tempest. And if you haven’t ever played Ikarauga for the Gamecube, you owe it to yourself to hunt down a copy and pull the GameCube out of the closet and try it.

I guess I’m a sucker for twitch games. If you’d like to try something like Geometry Wars, there’s a nice collection of links to freeware-ish clones for several platforms over at indygamer.blogspot.com.
